Emily Fisher & Arnie (Bahian Terminator), 4-year-old Cleveland Bay gelding
Emily was presented with an Animalweb Good Horsemanship Award in recognition of her outstanding horsemanship and dedication to promoting the rare and endangered Cleveland Bay breed.
Having received just 48 hours’ notice to attend the event, Emily and Arnie took everything in their stride. Despite the challenges of a busy show environment, including flapping tents, livestock, crowds and constant activity, Arnie remained calm and relaxed throughout, a testament to the partnership and trust Emily has built with him.
Emily spoke passionately about Arnie’s care and management, from taking him out to graze after the show day to being up at 5.30am to ensure his needs were met. She was a wonderful ambassador for both her horse and the Cleveland Bay breed, engaging warmly with members of the public and taking the time to share her knowledge and enthusiasm. Her commitment to horse welfare and breed promotion made her a worthy recipient of this award.
