LAUSANNE, Switzerland (Nov 15, 2023) – The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) has published the results of its global survey on the FEI Driving Championship format as part of preparations for the full Driving Rules revision in 2025.
Conducted from September 5 to October 10, 2023, the survey received 296 responses from a diverse group of 296 respondents including athletes, national federations, trainers, officials, support personnel and organizers.
The comprehensive survey allowed stakeholders to provide feedback ensuring the FEI Driving Championships continue to meet the evolving needs and aspirations of the driving community.
Key areas assessed included potential changes to competition formats, number of competitors at championships, and ways to enhance the experience and attractiveness of major driving events.
“As we look ahead to modernizing the Driving discipline rules in 2026, it was critical to first hear directly from our community on what is working well and what could be improved regarding our championship formats,” said FEI Driving Director Johan Jacobs.
“We appreciate all those who took the time to make their voices heard through this process. Their insights will help shape an updated vision for our signature events.”
Full survey results breaking down the respondent demographics and data on each question are now available on the FEI Driving Reports & Statistics webpage HERE.
The findings will be reviewed by the FEI Driving Committee and technical experts as the rule revision process formally gets underway next year.
