Ellie McNeil and her horse, Carlow, were among the deserving recipients of an Animalweb Good Horsemanship Award at the Great Yorkshire Show 2026.
Throughout the day, Ellie and her support team worked together to ensure Carlow’s individual needs were met at every stage. Their attentive and considerate approach demonstrated that good horsemanship goes beyond performance in the ring and includes prioritising the horse’s comfort and welfare throughout the entire day.
The Animalweb Good Horsemanship Awards recognise individuals and teams who demonstrate excellent care, empathy and attention to their horses while competing.
