Animalweb members already have a chance to win big this month — and now we’ve made things even cooler! We’ve just added cooling rugs to the prize pool for our August membership competition.
This addition celebrates the release of our Cooling Rug Test Results, which members have enjoyed exclusive access to since July. Now, the full results are available to everyone, so you can see exactly which rugs delivered on their promises and the science behind keeping your horse comfortable in the heat.
Why cooling rugs matter
In hot weather, a good cooling rug can make all the difference to your horse’s recovery and wellbeing. Our independent testing looked at how well different rugs reduced body temperature, how comfortable they were for the horse, and how easy they were to use. The results can help you make a smart choice before you buy — and now, one lucky winner could even get one for free!
Prizes worth over £250 each!
Alongside the cooling rugs, there’s a whole stable of prizes up for grabs in our August giveaway, including:
- Vet-True travel supplements
- Zarasyl barrier cream (equine & small animal)
- Training bands (worth £70+)
- Horsepal Heart Rate Monitor Kit (worth £200+)

- Equine Physical Therapy book (worth £250+)
…and more!
