Blenheim Palace, a historic venue in Oxfordshire, has been awarded the honour of hosting the FEI Eventing European Championship from September 18-21, 2025. The championship will bring together Europe’s top eventing athletes to compete on the same grounds as the 2005 European Championship.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Duke of Marlborough’s estate, Blenheim Palace promises an unforgettable setting for the event’s 37th edition. Event Organizer Katrina Midgley of Stable Events shared, “It is a great honour to be bringing the FEI Eventing European Championship back to Britain”
The event’s return to British soil marks the first senior European Eventing Championship hosted in the UK since Blair Castle in 2015. FEI Eventing Director Catrin Norinder expressed excitement about the return, highlighting Blenheim’s longstanding reputation as a premier Eventing venue. The event also celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials and Agria’s inaugural sponsorship.
British athletes have a strong legacy in the FEI Eventing European Championship, leading with 20 individual gold medals and 24 team titles over the years. At the 2023 European Championship in Le Pin au Haras, France, Rosalind Canter and Team Great Britain took home the gold.
