The Donkey Sanctuary has announced updates to its Donkey-Assisted Activities (DAA) program for Animal Welfare Workers. Due to the closure of DAA centres in Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, and Ivybridge, sessions for Animal Welfare Workers will no longer be available from these locations.
However, the DAA centre at the Sidmouth Sanctuary remains operational, and the Derbyshire Sanctuary will also offer a limited number of sessions for Animal Welfare Workers throughout 2025. This adjusted program will continue to provide a supportive experience for those working in animal welfare, focusing on the therapeutic benefits of spending time with donkeys.
Further details about session availability will be released by the official channels, and bookings will be shared as plans are finalised.
